Puzzle updates are available in this browser’s inbox. Device push alerts are not available yet. Each browser and app installation has its own guest player and preferences.
What counts toward progress?
Clues correct: answers credited to the person who entered their final correct letter. One letter can complete two answers. It is a contribution count, across puzzles of different sizes and difficulties.
Puzzles solved: distinct puzzles you helped finish. Simply joining a puzzle does not count. Replaying the same grid does not add another solved puzzle.
Unique friends: different real players who contributed alongside you to completed puzzles. They may be friends you invited or people you met while playing; this is not a separate friends list.
Puzzle partners: shared puzzles completed by a pair of contributors. A group puzzle can count for each contributing pair. The world ranking lists pairs; your progress shows your strongest partnership and your partner history.
Progress is published after a puzzle finishes, so it gives no hints while you play. Revealed puzzles do not count as solved puzzles. Scripted teammates do not count as friends or partners. Weeks begin Monday at 00:00 UTC; months begin on the first at 00:00 UTC.
